Basic Statistics
Since the basic duty of this organisation is to raise volunteers as per prescribed target the following are the statistics
The authorised strength of Civil Defence & Home Guards volunteer for our State is 13594 and 2538 respectively. This mark has however never been attained and with the passage of time the number of volunteers in our Rolls is gradually getting reduced. The primary reason being drastic cuts in financial sanctions for conducting Basic Trainings for Home Guards volunteers and the 3 (three) Civil Defence Towns for Civil Defence volunteers. Besides every volunteer cannot be retained in the roll for more than 3 (three) years as per the existing regulations/norms. So the number keep fluctuating and currently the number of trained Home Guards is 1850 and Civil Defence is 2684 as on 31/3/2004
